EZ BoatShare vs. Nautical Monkey
Nautical Monkey alternative for the boat you already share.
Nautical Monkey adds a find-a-partner marketplace. We deliberately don't — we focus on the boat you already share, not finding new people to share it with.
For groups already formed: co-owners, family boats and small partnerships that want the running of it handled.
Nautical Monkey has been in shared boating a long time and covers scheduling, check-on/check-off lists, expense tracking with partner allocation, messaging and a resource library — plus a Find a Partner service and custom sites for boat-sharing businesses. EZ BoatShare makes a deliberate choice not to be a marketplace. We assume you already know who you're sharing with, and we put the effort into fairness, money, safety and the AI that knows your boat.
EZ BoatShare
Ownership-percentage fairness, swaps and waitlist, a shared expense ledger with settle-up, float plans and overdue alerts, maintenance and repair logs, dues and capital calls, and Salty — an AI first mate trained on your boat's own manuals. No marketplace, by design.
Nautical Monkey
Scheduling, check-on/check-off lists, expense tracking with partner allocation, service requests and messaging, a resource library, a partnership-agreement resource, plus Find a Partner and custom sites. Published pricing includes a free Personal tier and an Advanced tier at $7.95 per month per boat.

Why groups switch to us
We solve the group you have
No marketplace, no strangers, no listings to police. Every feature assumes the partnership already exists and needs to run smoothly.
Fairness is enforced, not suggested
Ownership percentages drive the calendar, and unclaimed time is released 48 hours out so nobody hoards or loses their share.
Safety is part of the price
Float plans go to family with the route and return time, and an overdue check-in triggers an automatic alert.
Common questions
Will you ever add partner matching?
No. It's intentionally out of scope. Matching strangers into a shared asset is a different business with different risks, and it isn't what our members ask for.
Nautical Monkey has a free tier — why pay?
If a solo calendar is all you need, free is hard to beat. Our paid plans cover the parts that get expensive to get wrong: the shared ledger, ownership fairness, safety alerts, dues and the AI manual library.
Do you have a partnership agreement?
Yes — a co-ownership agreement template covering percentages, usage, expense rules, maintenance and an exit clause, with in-app signing. It isn't legal advice; have a lawyer review it.
You've already found your partners. Now run the boat.
